About singing lessons with me
My singing lessons balance technique with creative expression. They’re especially suited to singers who want to develop their own unique sound, improvise, write songs, or deepen their overall musicianship.
Lessons go beyond just technique — we can also explore ear training, music theory, and creative expression to help you grow as a confident, well-rounded musician.

Beginner to advanced levels
I work with a few core groups of students, but lessons are always shaped around your individual goals and interests. Some come in with a clear goal, while others are simply curious and want to try something new.
You might be:
A singer-songwriter wanting to improve your vocal technique, expand your musicality, learn to accompany yourself, or develop your own original music.
An instrumentalist looking to build confidence as a singer — for backing vocals, lead vocals, or recording your own songs.
A classical singer or musician curious about contemporary technique, songwriting, improvising, or jazz.
A high school student learning classical music who wants a creative outlet to explore pop, folk, or original music.
A choir member, ukulele group player, or hobbyist singer wanting to feel more confident and expressive.
A Year 12 music student (contemporary voice) preparing for their VCE Music Performance exams and looking for extra support.
A university applicant getting ready for entrance auditions and music theory requirements (jazz or contemporary voice major)

About me
Bachelor of Music (Honours) - Victorian College of the Arts
I love teaching, especially seeing students improve and celebrating moments of progress and success together. I also appreciate when my students bring their own music and ideas to explore, I feel like I learn as much from them as they do from me.
In my own practice I’ve been lucky to learn from teachers who champion both technical precision and creativity. This balance lies at the heart of my teaching—helping students build a solid foundation while giving them the freedom to play and explore with joy.
“Erica was swiftly able to identify some of the weaker aspects of my vocal technique and alter them through carefully prescribed vocal exercises. I have since noticed outstanding improvements in both breath and pitch control and have gained almost an entire octave of range.”
“My daughter has developed so much musically under Erica’s guidance, it’s lovely to see. Lessons with Erica are one activity my daughter is always keen to do, even though she’s now an unpredictable teenager!”
