About ongoing lessons with me

Ongoing lessons are for students who want steady support and structured progress. They give us the chance to build rapport, explore your goals at a sustainable pace, and develop your skills over time.

These one-on-one lessons are tailored to you. We’ll work together on the music that lights you up, build solid technique, and make space for creative exploration. Some students come with clear goals in mind, while others arrive curious and open — both are welcome.

What you can study

Lessons are taught one-on-one and are suitable for absolute beginner - advance students. I specialise in teaching:

Core instrument and vocal lessons

Lessons for musicians exploring additional skills

Songwriting, music theory & creative development

Who ongoing lessons are for

Children (8 and up) · Teens · Adults

Beginner to advanced levels

Ongoing lessons are suitable for students of all ages and skill levels. They are held weekly, and allow you to make steady progress toward your goals with accountability and structure.

For beginner and intermediate students, weekly lessons are especially valuable. They give us the chance to monitor your progress closely, catch unhelpful habits before they take hold, and keep you motivated during the trickier early stages of learning. Regular support can make a big difference in building strong foundations, growing your confidence, and making music a lasting part of your life.

How ongoing lessons work

Lessons are one-on-one and run for 45 or 60 minutes each week, either in person (Vermont or Bentleigh) or online.

Lessons are held weekly following the Victorian school terms, and you can optionally continue lessons through the school holidays. For international students, term dates can be adjusted slightly to align with local holiday periods, while still maintaining a regular weekly rhythm.

Each lesson is shaped around your interests and goals. We might work on technique, theory, songs you love, original ideas, or a mix of everything. There’s no set curriculum or method book — just meaningful music-making and clear, thoughtful guidance.

About me

Bachelor of Music (Honours) - Victorian College of the Arts

I’ve been teaching since 2014, working with everyone from beginners to experienced performers. I love helping students grow in confidence and musicianship — whether that means improving your technique, writing your own songs, recording, picking up an instrument, or learning the music theory that helps you collaborate more fully.

Designed like a meditation app, the videos invite you to settle in for a few minutes of gentle chat and a guided meditation — then begin your practice.

I encourage my students to use the podcast for ongoing motivation and to maintain our connection beyond scheduled lessons.
