Since establishing my private teaching studio in 2014 in Melbourne, Australia, I have had the privilege of tutoring a wide range of students of all skill levels, from children to retirees, including absolute beginners and professionals broadening their skills.

I have studied voice, double bass, and guitar, and draw on this diverse background in my teaching. My combined vocal and stringed instrument experience has led me to work primarily with singer-songwriters looking to improve their instrumental, music theory and songwriting skills, and instrumentalists wanting to learn how to sing. I also offer standalone guitar, ukulele, double bass and contemporary vocal lessons.

I have designed and led numerous songwriting, composition, and improvisation workshops, including for Melbourne University Student’s Union, Firebird School of Music in Brunswick, and music schools in the Czech Republic.

I am a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia (improvised voice) and have been performing since 2012 as a freelance vocalist, double bassist and guitarist with a variety of professional ensembles. I have released three critically acclaimed albums of original music under my own name, and I also record as Cassiope — a solo project floating between pop and avant-garde styles.

I spent several years living, performing, and teaching in the Czech Republic. I am now based in Melbourne, teaching in Vermont and Bentleigh, as well as online.

I also host the Practice Space podcast — sharing practical music tips and guided meditations to support musicians and students in their daily practice.

I love teaching, especially seeing students improve and celebrating moments of progress and success together. I also appreciate when my students bring their own music and ideas to explore, I feel like I learn as much from them as they do from me. In my own practice I’ve been lucky to learn from teachers who champion both technical precision and creativity. This balance lies at the heart of my teaching—helping students build a solid foundation while giving them the freedom to play and explore with joy.
