Biography: Kyle Caulfield
Kyle Caulfield is an ARIA Award nominated director and filmmaker based between Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.
He thrives on chaos, escape and chasing new experiences, and makes sense of this creative disorder with an intense focus on composition, structure and inventive world building.
Kyle’s visual world is richly textured and touched with melancholy. Familiar lives and feelings are captured in finely lit compositions and a distinctive, stylised palette of lights and darks. His work is coloured with nostalgia, lending everyday experiences an ethereal ambience.
Kyle has collaborated with some of Australia’s best artists and record labels. He has worked on music videos for artists including G Flip, DMA's, The Rubens, Gretta Ray, Peach PRC and Royel Otis. In 2023 he received two ARIA Award nominations for his work on ‘Good Enough’ by G Flip and ‘Manic Dream Pixie’ by Peaches PRC.
Kyle works from the Melbourne studio he shares with many other artists and production companies, fuelled by coffee and the creativity of his home city. He is currently in pre-production for his first short film.
