Update: Melbourne is back in lockdown, so unfortunately this show can't go ahead at The Jazzlab on Tuesday night as planned.
Instead of this full band show, Adam Spiegl and I will be livestreaming a duo set on Tuesday night, and we will arrange a new date for a full band show on the other side of lockdown.
Stream (starts 7pm AEST Tuesday June 1):
With special guests Louise Goh, Justin Olsson & Adam Spiegl (new date TBA)
Erica Bramham launches her third album, Enamel, which follows her critically acclaimed releases Twelve Moons (2016) and Songs From A Midnight Room (2018).
A product of Melbourne's long 2020 lockdown, Enamel features compositions originally written for an improvising ensemble, that were ultimately re-imagined as a solo record with layers of voice, double bass, broken piano, guitar and mandolin melding with field recordings and sampled percussion. Re-imagining the music again for live performance, Bramham is joined by pianist Louise Goh, percussionist Justin Olsson and fellow double bassist Adam Spiegl.
Erica Bramham: voice, double bass, mandolin
Louise Goh: piano, voice
Justin Olsson: percussion
Adam Spiegl: double bass
Tickets $25 / $20 concession
Doors open 7pm for 7:30pm show
